"I'm more hopeful for success and hope the principal continues to improve leadership. It has been a difficult process and Mrs. Garcia has always been challenged. We all hope for the best results."

"I am extremely satisfied with Sanchez Elementary. All the teachers and staff are great and helpful. The Principal, Mrs. Garcia, is attentive to the quality of learning and safety of all the students and staff. My son started Kinder with Mr. Montilla and and is now in 1st grade with another great teacher at Sanchez, Mrs. Fennell. My son is on an ongoing preparation focus to do well academically and socially and looks forward to be a great teacher too! Thank you Sanchez!"

"My daughter goes to this school for kindergarten and it's okay. A lot of emphasis is placed on English as a second language, which makes sense since a huge majority of the students are hispanic. But it seems that they are too catered to. The only parent meeting I went to I felt totally excluded because I couldn't understand what the other parents were talking about. The principal does try to speak in both English and Spanish, but if you don't know both, you might feel left out, as I did."

"This school is an ideal example of what an urban school should be--very diverse, very vibrant, with lots of intense and meaningful learning going on. As a substitute teacher I have been all over Austin, and I think this school is one of the very best. Great kids and impressive teachers...and an excellent pair of hands-on, very kind principals who set a calm and productive tone."
