"I think that the school is a great school but some of teachers need to learn how to encourage our children a little more. This school has teachers who really care for our children and some are just here to say that they have a job to go to. (ONLY for the PAY CHECK) I believe that if some teachers would work along side of the parents and vise vera our children would continue to be encouraged and believe within themselves that they could do anything they put their minds to do."

"Summerfield Elementary, not only has a great bunch of teachers, but has a very caring fun loving principal, Dr. Rogo. No matter how tired she may be or stressed, you'd never know. She is there each day with a smile on her face. It could be pouring rain and she would be outside wrestling her umbrella to make sure each of our children get into school safely. She makes sure she has a relationship with each child and each parent. At Summerfield they have fun nights at school so the children can see there friend and parents can become familiar with other students and their families. I don't know how else to explain it, but the staff & faculty at Summerfield Elementary school not only makes their students and their families feel welcome, they also make them feel safe as if they were home. And that is a great feeling as a parent to know, that their children can't wait for the next school year to go back to school, where they are welcomed and learn new and exciting things."

"I'm very upset about this school as well. We came back to public school this year, and I have a huge regret over that decision. The quality of teaching of my one daughter has been way below average. The teacher is never held accountable when she's not doing her job effectively. Instead too much blame is always placed on the child. I am very involved with my girls education, and have never been to so many meetings in one year at a school. The results of those meetings were so unsuccessful that I'm considering private school again, or renting my home out to move to a school district where the test scores are above average; a positive reflection on the teachers. In viewing previous tests scores here confirms that all I've been saying to them that if the teaching is effective, all the childen can do well."

"I have two sons that go to this school, and they love it. I have one in Pre-k and one in K. My Pre-k is so eager to go to school, even on the weekends. I love his teachers and I have open communication with them both. I believe learning and discipline start at home, the things you teach your child will stick with them. Parents that work with their child and the teacher, will have positive actions in there child and in the school."

"My son is currently in the school pre-k program. This is his first year in any type of school program and he loves it! The teachers are patient, kind and stern when needed. My son loves it! We had tried several daycare facilities and he would have a fit. At Summerfield the teachers pick them up in the morning and he goes willingly and with a smile. We couldn't ask for more then that."
