"Im currently a transferring senior to Harbor, comming from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Although my previous school in Michigan was a socially better experience for me, I love this school. The only problem is that some people are 'clicky,' just as any other high school is. I like it though. Thumbs up!"

"Newport Harbor High is a great school. Compared to a majority of other schools in the state its variety of extra curricular acitivities are more than exceptional. However it is not as 'nice' as many would hope and expect it to be. The school is run down and unattractive inside. This is of course excluding the beautiful exterior with the iconic bell tower and Robins hall."

"Pathetic. The discipline is only for the less fortunate. We are a upper middle class family and cannot wait to get our kids out of here. If you give big bucks to the school you can write your childs ticket but if not too bad for your kids. The parents and their cash run the school."

"Harbor was an all-around great experience for my three children over the past 8 years."

"When I read these reviews I think that they are referring to some other school. I have two kids in the school now, and one just graduated, who was admitted to some very good colleges. The AP programs are very good and are offered in many subjects. My junior is in 3 or 4 this year. I have also met some very good and committed teachers who do all kinds of things with the students after school. The school does seem to have its share of goof-offs and poor performers, which isn't surprising considering that it is by far the biggest high school in the district, and draws from a wide range of neighborhoods, including other language students. But the blend is socially positive. If your kid is a performer, this school has a lot to offer, with a lot of other performers and a rich sense of tradition."
