"I would very much like to commend Dr. Long for his attentive to the success of each student at JCHS. I have interacted with him, and he strives for the best. The schools offer a variety of programs for students to take advantage of. It is located in a rural area of Augusta, so it is not your typical suburban school in the most affluent area. However, it is very decent in how it is organized. Students are not as motivated and appreciative of what the school offers. Overall, I have heard from other parents who have great things to say about the school. Kudos, JCHS!!"

"I'm currently a tenth grader at this school. Most of the teachers care about the students and truly strive to help us reach our goals. But still, the school is, point blank, a failing school and the valedictorians of this school would all be average at average-schools. The teachers care, yes, and it has good programs, such as the one-act and band and chorus. Unfortunately, these get overridden in favour of sports like football. In fact, the school has almost nothing to do with these programs. I'm not saying it's bad that they've taken an interest to the football team, but I'd really prefer it if they'd spread their attention evenly between all extracurricular activities. Furthermore, nothing is ever really done about the mass amount of bullying and cruel remarks. Teachers and other students will sit back and watch a student be emotionally abused, and only help if it seems that it will escalate to violence. They show concern, sure, but they never step in to help. Some students even find it amusing."

"I have already been going to Jefferson County High School for 9th, half of 10th, and right now in 11th grade. I have had a multitude of people in the schooling system that has helped me. There has been the few teachers that i disliked greatly, because the way that they taught. One of them that taught only in one way and thought that it was the omnipotent way of teacher that has failed many of the students that took his class. I am not saying that he is a bad but the place he needs to be at is a high class collage speaking lectures to a class of geniuses."

"I attended high school at Jefferson County. I can say one thing about it the faculty really cared about each student. They always wanted to see us do our best. And as for the principal I have never meet someone so caring in my life if you had a problem you could go to her no matter what, she would always open her door to you. I look back on my high school days and wish I could change somethings but never JCHS."

"I went to this school and successfully graduated, I went to 3 other high schools and home schooled for a year and a half and I have lost several credits from so many transitions. The staff worked with me and helped me get the credits I needed to graduate, some even used their own time to help me. The school that I went to before Jefferson County High was going to hold me back a year to catch up on my credits and offered me no help otherwise. Jefferson County High is an excellent school."
