"This school is great, but they're a bit disorganized. We (the students) were supposed to get our schedules during the summer to eliminate the long lines when school started up, and only a few students received their schedules. If I could do it all over again, I would choose to start from the 6th grade. This school starts from the 6th grade and ends at 12th grade. The 6th graders, I find, are presented more opportunities than the incoming 9th graders."

"My overall experience besides academically good, it's fun. There were days that were not the greatest but also my great days surpasses the bad days.my favorite experience was when I was chosen to be a part of the Smart Scholars program. Being enrolled in this program allowed me to take college classes every semester until I graduate. This is what makes this school unique also. Other schools within New York City does a similar program but the student start in 12th grade while at Medgar, one starts in 10th grade. What a great asset to my college application. If I had to do it all over, I would instead start from the 6th grade so that by the time I'm in 10th or 11th grade, I ours only be concentrating on my APs"

"The teachers at my school are amazing. They're really friendly and go out of their way to help students. Most of them give up their lunch periods to help students out. If their not available during school, you can catch them after school."

"There are teachers at my school are very caring. What I will extend to say, some do go way above and beyond to attain the need of the students: the ones who are willing and ready to elevate. These teachers, I must say are very knowledgeable in their perspective fields and I am happy that I was afforded the opportunity to work with them and even as to say to call my mentor. The teachers in which I have encountered are consistent with their grading style, pattern. The same goes for their communicative skills. Not once have I experience a situation where I have approached them for ideas or even for some help in areas of one of my subject. They were willing. Hence I have to say that teachers in which I have come in contact during my tenure, has been nothing but good, helpful to me"

"Every teacher is different in terms of how they teach a class and how they interact with the students. Some engage well with their students while others seem to not really care."
