"It's ok but I think it's soo crowded. I ask the teachers for help and they sometimes say no. Most of them don't notice their students."

"When I attended Midwood High School, at first it was a bit intimidating. To attend a public High School with 5000+ individuals in the program at first glance seemed like it would be a challenge however that was one of the best parts of the school - its diversity. I cannot begin to tell you how many friends I had made from various backgrounds and mentalities. This school has definitely forged a lot of lifelong relationships that mean the world to me. Secondly, in terms of the academics if this were to be evaluated as it relates to the specialized high school test, Midwood would come right there with the other "major schools" (Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech, etc)."

"As an alumni of Midwood HighSchool, I have a lot of good memories to hold onto. Most of my teachers were all very memorable and efficient. I recall working very hard, and it paid off, as it was reflected in grades. In the Medical Science Program, my teachers were resourceful and even though the work level may have been intense at times, the teachers made it interesting and I can look back at high school knowing it was a success and helped me get to where I am today. Also, even though the school is incredibly crowded, I felt the different schedules for freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors made the process relatively smooth and organized."

"I would say that high school was one of the most important times in my life, and Midwood High made sure of that. I am now a junior at Cornell University, majoring in Chemistry and soon graduating, then returning to Cornell to obtain my Master's in the Arts of Teaching to hopefully go back to Midwood and teach Chemistry, Physics, and Math there. It is a phenomenal high school where students are listened to, and they have a special relationship with their students. Though students might be concerned about the school size, I want to reassure them that their students still have plenty of time to interact with parents and form life-long friendships they'll never forget. Also, Midwood offers many AP courses, their athletics department is great, and students can explore other facets of their life that they have interest in. Midwood is one of the best overall."

"In my four years at Midwood HS, I came to realize how excellent the school is academically and in promoting extra-curricular activites. Not only was I able to participate in the Science Institute program but also participates in various sports teams. All throughout the process, I saw how dedicated the teachers, coaches and counselors were in making sure that I was performing at a high level. They were very approachable and understanding with me and others. I highly recommend Midwood HS to all the students & their parents living in the Brooklyn area."
