"My daughter has attended this school since the sixth grade and is currently in the 8th grade. I can't say enough about the faculty of this school. I was initially apprehensive about her attending this school but I can now say that it was one of the best decisions that I ever made. The school discovered that my daughter had a learning disability and the faculty has done everything to ensure her success. I have received numerous phone calls and conferences through the year to help and support my child. Though I can't mention names, I am forever indebted to many of the caring staff of this school who have shown time and time again how hard they work and how much they care about the children who go there. My daughter is graduating now and with a heavy heart we must say goodbye to the wonderful staff of this school. I have never in my life seen a more dedicated and supportive faculty than Marie Curie 158."

"Also, this school shouldn't flaunt the fact that it's a District 26 school. That doesn't help with anything. It's still a horrible school. The seniors who graduated in 2011 didn't go on any trips in the 3 years they have been there. I, for one, was one of those seniors. The teachers were horrible. Ms. O'sully, however funny she may be, didn't teach us anything. There were about 10 units in the Social Studies curriculum and she taught us 2 units. She's the reason why it's hard to keep up in my APWorld class. I am a freshman in Bronx Science. I still resent this school. There are only a few selective teachers that can actually, teach. This school really deserves to be a B or C school instead of the A school it used to be. All the parents who said that this school was good do not know how hard it was to study in this school. The teachers couldn't teach, the staff were horrible and rude, and the students were extremely rude and would hurt you. Oh yes, some of them smoke and drink."

"MS 158 is a the biggest disappointment! They use the fact they "there is district 26" as some sort of bragging right. But it's a joke. The teachers do not care about the kids, there are to many kids. There is nothing challenging about this situtation. There is nothing exciting for the students;no clubs, trips, nothing. It makes me sad everyday to drop my child off. The front office is rude, everyone is just waiting to collect there retirement and the District 26 Super doesn'e even care. It's the entire system. Sad situation for the furture of our country."

"This school is a total mess (no offense). Many students are "disgusting" and the teachers are anything but free. They have a tight schedule, which makes them super grumpy. Just get the right teachers, the nice ones, and you might just be fine. The principle and vice principles are busy but they sometimes have time to talk things out with you. Seriously, I didn't even want to move to Bayside in the first place. Ask my parents. They just pulled me here and transferred me to this school in the middle of the school year! Still, I have learned one thing that describes this school: Busy!!!"

"MS158 is overall a very good school. I'd say 99% of the teachers care and actually do their job. The teachers on the 8th grade are perfect. They give regents to all 8th grade honors students, which help you a lot in high school. Request Ms. Etsios for your 8th grade, if possible Social Studies teacher. Both of my children were fortunate to have her as their teacher. She is a life changing, caring and highly respected teacher in the school. Both my kids loved her and feel that they formed a connection with her by the end of the year. Don't think I will ever find a teacher like her again."
