"A school is only as good as the teachers. Like most businesses, schools, there are good and bad. My experience has been great with the teachers. In general they care about their students, the give the respect students deserve, and the form great relationships with each student even though the school itself is overcrowded. The teachers with the obstacles they face and the number of students which is many do a great job."

"There are bullies, peer pressure as there is in any school. A strong personality will have no problem in this area. I have had no issues socially."

"I cannot really comment on parent involvement. As for my own parents they are there when I need them to be. My parents are my greatest advocate and they attend the functions, conferences, and events that impact me. In summary, my parents are involved in the school for me, not the other students."

"Great teachers, great classes but the scheduling process is terrible. The school is overcrowded and it is difficult to get the classes you want. Also, it is difficult to get in to see the guidance counselor to solve scheduling issues."

"My experience at this school has been mediocre. It has neither been bad or good, which is not the schools fault, but my own. There are many activities, clubs, and sports I could have participated in,but I chose not to. I didn't get involved in anything until my junior year. Even then marching band was only half of one semester. I think this school could do a better job at advertising different clubs because not everyone is athletic but they still want to be involved. I didn't know half the clubs that exsist until my senior year. I have enjoyed my time here, however it could have been better. Also, during my time at Appoquinimink, I have worked very hard, sometimes too hard, and have not learned to enjoy education which is something I believe this school is poor at; most students do not enjoy learning because of the structure of things. Different a kids learn differently and this school does not exercise that fact. Overall, I have learned a lot and enjoyed most of my time here."
