"Merrill is a school that frequently has a bad wrap. The school is safe and the staff are caring. True, the school is in the middle of a neighborhood that needs a little TLC, however, that should not be a reflection of the school, its staff and students. The many of the students come from poverty stricken homes/families and just need a little extra help. If you have preconceived notions about this school, I invite you stop in for a visit, I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised!"
