"My child has gone to Zion for 2 years now & I LOVE the school and the staff. He has learned academically and socially and loves his friends and his teachers there. The environment is loving, kind, and structured with healthy discipline. I would highly recommend this school I am an older parent raising a 2nd set of children and have experience with public versus private schools. Children at Zion are treated as individuals and the teachers are connected to each child on a personal level. Classroom size makes this possible and being a Christian myself; knowing my child is being taught by someone with faith in Christ, too, is a big plus for me."

"What a blessing it is to teach at a school with a supportive principal, fabulous staff, great students and encouraging parents! Our Christ-centered environment leads students to grow in their faith and show God's grace in their lives. Teaching at Zion Lutheran School is a JOY!"

"Zion Lutheran School and Preschool is an excellent academic choice in the Bethalto area. Students are consistently test above public school students by at least 1/2 year. There are SmartBoards in every classroom K-8, a very good student-teacher ratio, and lots of choices for extracurricular activities. As of 2010, all students grade 1 through grade 8 are learning Spanish, and all students K-8 receive instruction on computers. Students can participate in band starting in the 5th grade and receive both group and individual lessons. Students can also choose to receive private piano lessons at school. Beside excellent academics, the school offers a Christ-centered atmosphere and is fully supported by the congregation of the church. As a matter of fact, the school is the number one mission of the church. While Zion does charge tuition, there are ample scholarship funds available and the guidelines for qualifying are quite liberal."

"When i went to this school i went all through k-8th grade. Upon graduating 8th grade i went to public high school. The students that attended public school were much more ahead than most of my 8th grade class leaving all of us behind! I think Zions books and teaching cirriculum is way behind! Get with it Zion!"
