"Students are mostly from a very privileged bubble, but the average intelligence of these privileged students, staff, and resources make the school extraordinary."

"Teachers are one of the best resources at HW; developing those relationships makes all the difference."

"The teachers at Harvard-Westlake tend to be the best you can find anywhere. They're devoted and above all just good at getting their students to understand the material. Every so often you'll have a weird teacher, or a mean one, or a crazy hard one, but for the most part even those teachers are still pretty good and at least care about their jobs."

"Harvard-Westlake is not easy and it's not that fun either. The classes are insanely hard, and no matter how smart you are you're never going to be the smart kid again. Also, I love it. Harvard-Westlake challenges you to succeed in everything you do and to keep trying even when life gets hard. A lot of people call the school competitive, but it's not really like competing against others. It's like you're constantly trying to set your personal best. After a while, everyone becomes like a huge family. Like any other family, you might not like everyone, and you might even hate some people, but you're still in it together and you'll still take care of everyone. Harvard-Westlake isn't for everyone- it's fast paced and very stressful- but if you are the sort of person who thrives in those conditions, Harvard-Westlake will make you the very best person you could ever be."

"At times it is incredibly competitive. However, I feel completely prepared for college."
