"Ms. McGuckin is one of the most passionate and caring teachers I've ever met, and I've met a lot of them with four children in the public school system. She has high expectations of all her students, even those struggling the most. She's no pushover though. She's direct, straight forward and will call a child out that disruptive. The children respect her and she's funny also. She gets results and goes out of her way to get what the kids need. Overall, Millikan is a great school. There's a place for everyone; just be yourself and stand up for yourself and you should have no problems."

"What is all this bull?! I LOVED MILLIKAN! I went there all three years and am now a sophomore in High School. All these are parents that expect too much. Parents write reviews like they are the ones going everyday. No. I did. And I was in Musical Theatre and I loved it. The shows are perfectly appropriate and even of you think they aren't, chill out, it's just acting! I may sound like a rampaging 15 year old (which I am...) I just hate seeing such reviews for such a great school. You're more likely to find "snobs" in a private school so if you think that you're kid is too good for here, leave. Send your kid here. Thank you. xx"

"The performing arts academy offered wonderful opportunities for my daughter, and she felt part of a positive group all three years. great kids here. There are some persistent academic problems, though, at least in the SAS program. Teachers do their own thing, and except for 6th grade, the English department is very weak: one teacher doesn't have kids write at all, the other has peer editing and literally never critiques or writes comments on papers! 8th grade honors science:book only, no hands-on. Excellent history teachers across the board, some fantastic math teachers who stay late to help students. Principal most focused on CSTs."

"Great, loved the math academy! The whole staff really cared about character in the kids, not just their scores and that is hard to come by sometimes!"
