"My favorite experiences at GA rank up there with being a member of the football team on GA/PC day and winning two years in a row. The pride of this victory was not just for the team, but for the school. We are a brotherhood but also a community. I learned my freshman year that the baseball team became my family and from that it grew to a community. We are more than peers, we are truly members of each others' families. Teachers, coaches, staff--- we all care for one another. My teachers taught me to fight hard for my grades and be firm in my commitment to be a true student athlete. I expected coaches to encourage that, but when you look out in the stands and see your teachers cheering for you; it really exemplifies pride and family. On GA/PC day, we are family! What a great feeling."

"Germantown Academy is the best private high school decision I have made. I have been pushed to give my best and be extraordinary. Teachers care about me achieving that highest point of my potential and I am so glad they do. My years there have been challenging but have made me completely ready for a highly selective college in the area. I do not fear group projects or speaking assignments at all. The teachers have taught me confidence in speaking, participating, defending, etc. they are outstanding assets to our school."

"Amazing school spirit and alumni connection. There is definitely a separation between lifers (students who have been there since lower school) and new students who came for high school. There is a lot of money in this school, and it has an effect on the school both socially and academically. There is definitely a favoritism towards students whose parents are on the board or parents committee. GA kids are notoriously known for driving ridiculously flashy cars and throwing extreme parties. Academically, the school is top notch. If you get straight A's you will absolutely get into an ivy, stanford, or mit. Most students also receive high honors once in college because of the rigirous work from GA."

"GA is an amazing academic institution! The curriculum really prepares the students for further education making most students succeed easier in college. Most students find many of the courses challenging but that's what makes for better students. Athletics used to HUGE here but has become less and less important to the school as a whole. We still have select sports that we are known for and love but others go by the wayside (including in funding). Our theater program is known for winning awards and always puts on great shows. The faculty and staff are incredible. The student body could definitely be more diverse which the relatively new diversity committee works on with admissions. Because of the lack of diversity, there are tons of cliques. Overall, Germantown Academy is a great school and almost everyone graduates with great preparation for the future. Going to GA has made me a better person without a doubt and I am very grateful to this school."
