"The academics were what the student made of them. You could either take easy classes or take a heavier workload with some APs. After school tutoring is offered for many subjects which is very nice. The class options are limited due to size, but still offer great variety with APs and Ag courses being offered."

"The teachers are okay. None of them stick out as very inspiring or life changing. They did their jobs and that was pretty much it. Classes were very dull and some teachers seemed bored of their topics."

"Both Tomales Elementary and High School have great staff members and students that always have a way to help out in any stressful situation. When it comes to needing help with any school work or tutoring there is after school help on Wednesdays that also help by providing transportation. We are a very small high school of around 170 students, however are still very spirited. We have our rallys and dances, but when it comes to sports mostly the whole school is involved. Academically and supportive school where time flies and I don't regret spending my four years there to receive my high school diploma."

"Tomales is very much what you make it, it can be great or bad, but ultimately it is up to the student to design and guide themselves to graduation and college, which is very difficult to do and a huge responsibility since adolescence is a really hard time for a lot of people, and tacking on the responsibility to guiding oneself is outrageous."

"Teachers hold a good topic to teach their classes but lost control of their students and don't hold well topics that grab their students attention. Students walk all over their teachers and sometimes take over the class at different periods of time."
