"Wow, in searching for parent reviews of Potter Junior High, I found this, read many of the reviews and was sadly delighted to see so many with my same ill-regards to the school. My daughter is smart, does very well in school, but is completing high school online. She loves her "virtual" school and is gaining so much more there. FHS teachers, with the exception of maybe 2 or 3, lack any passion for what they do and forgot what their real purpose there is - to teach! My daughter was have a lot of health challenges in 10th and 11th grade and the school failed her miserably. They treated her like she was a bad, uninterested, lazy (teachers exact words) student. They were not flexible in her efforts to make up missed work. I could go on and on and on and on some more. the district needs to wake and take control of the schools in the district. FYI, a friend of mine sent her son back east to live with her brother for a good education and he excelled; she did this because of his terrible experience at FHS. We are a family who will soon be leaving the district."

"So many tenured teachers who are passing time till retirement. I wish they would just retire and let our children get educated. Some of them really just hate children, not sure how they got into this line of business."

"Fallbrook High is a horrible school. I removed my child from there when I saw that she was not getting a good education and that the administration seemed to only care about students who are athletic or in AP classes. Taking my child out of Fallbrook High School was the best decision I ever made. She is now in a new school and her self esteem has improved dramatically. Administration (particularly Mr. Vice Principal and Principal) you need to start paying more attention to your "average learners" and stop being so consumed by your AP students (who learn dispite your efforts) and athletes. Also, it would be nice if you would expect all teachers to post grades online on regular basis (weekly) so parents can work with their child. Mr. Vice principal stop blaming kids missing school for necessary doctor appointmenrts for cuts in funding (article from Fallbrook Village News).. Maybe you neeed to stop and look at how you your lack of support for "average" students is influencing budget cuts as well. The day I removed my student I saw that several students were disenrolling for similar reasons. Look internally not externally!!!"

"I have 2 children who attend Fallbrook High. My child, who is in AP/ honors classes, has had an awesome education. The teachers have prepared him and he has received 5s on all AP exams. My other child has had teachers who I like and others that I am not too impressed with. The math program is questionable, however, Science and Language Arts are excellent. You cannot ask for better sports and extra curricular activities.. There is something for everyone. Field hockey is one of the best in San Diego County--if it's kept. The sports complex is amazing. Leadership, ASB is incredible. Madrigals and music program is very strong. Due to lack of money the band program is not very strong. Overall, I am pleased with Fallbrook High"
