"I have heard nothing but horror stories from this school and the ratings are the worst in the county , luckily manatee county offers other options . I have heard about some serious racisim towards white children at this school , racsim at this age comes from the parents 100% so shame on you ! The whole neighborhood surrounding the school is a disgrace and scary to even drive through. I bought a nice county home on the braden river samoset line and was horrified when I started learning about teh whole Samoset area and would have never bought a home here had I known , even some of my neighbors are extremely racisit . I hope this review helps balance out the other two biased reviews. Stop teaching your children to hate, we are all just different shades of brown and that is all I tell my children . You have options , dont settle for this place !"

"My daughter has attended Samoset Elementary every year since kindergarden and it is sad to know this will be her last year there. She comes home with offers for extracurricular activities often and enjoys her music competition every year. The teachers and staff at this school are wonderful and very supportive. I went to this school as a child and some of the same staff members are still there, so that may make me biased. The largest problem I see with this school is the lack of parental involvement. The majority of failing students at this school are from family's who do not get involved and do not ensure that their children are doing what needs to be done. This is important because this school has a low grade and I don't feel it is the fault of the staff and teachers."

"This is a great school. The teachers and staff really care about the kids and go the extra mile to help out any way that they can. You are always welcome to come for the day or to just stop by."
