"Superb learning experience, good teachers, sports. Even though taxes are up, many teachers try to make it fun but still manage to keep the price cheap."

"Nice teachers, always helping you whenever you need it the most. My English teacher even helped me boost my grade from a 55 to a 95."

"As we all have learned money does not make a school better. Taxes are up especially for waterfront homes, traffic lights are bringing in 7 figures but our schools are declining in NJ Monthly Magazine rating for Ocean County. The mayor needs to step up and solve the problem. Our home values are declining because of the bad high school ratings. Having a mantra of "Thank God for Lakewood" is not the right approach (as they are the only school ranked lower than ours in Ocean County)."

"This school is a good school if your child is gifted and able to take honors or AP classes. As for the regular ed college prep courses, they are over crowded and most teachers are in it for only a paycheck. Discipline is a big concern of the administration, all students are considered guilty until proven innocent. I have three children who have attended BMHS, one in AP classes who thrived in small classes with caring teachers who were always available. The second who is a regular Ed. student in college prep classes, he was just a number and pushed like cattle through a large crowded school system. The youngest needed special ed. help and we had to literally fight district every year in order to get him the help he needed. It's a shame that a NJ public school district would try to deny children a solid education."

"My daughter is a recent graduate of Brick Memorial High School. I feel she received an excellent education and she is going on to a highly selective four year college. She was offered many outside scholarships and this is partly attributed to the education she received at Brick Memorial. She took honors courses and her teachers were dedicated and challenged their students. She was also very active in many great school clubs and activities."
