"My child has been in this school for the last 2 years, His teachers have been wonderful. They stay after school and help students that need it. My only problem with this school is with the principal. She has done nothing but bully my son since day one. I know my son is no angel but her disciplinary actions are horrifying. She wrongfully accused my son of something he did not do and no authority figures had witnessed. She gave him 2 days of afterschool detention. HE IS 8 YEARS OLD! Once he was sent back to the class, the situation was resolved but she insisted the punishment stand because it was her school and her rules. She called me to discuss the matter and was extremely rude to me on the phone. When I requested a face to face meeting with her and the teacher she told me to set it up with the teacher. She finally agreed to the meeting and then didn't even have the nerve to show up. She sent the vice principal to take notes in her place. Very unprofessional as far as I am concerned. This was only one of many incidences in a 1 1/2 years. I want to go to the school board but my husband fears reciprocity. Unfortunately my son has 2 yrs. left with this witch."

"I am very pleased with this school. My son is in an inclusion classroom with two teachers and I am grateful that he receives the extra attention he needs to stay focused on track without the social stigma of being in a special ed class. The reading incentive programs and the character building programs (TERRFC) are commendable. I particularly like how they monitor bus behavior and teach kids about what bullying is, why people do it, and how to handle tough situations. These are good life skills."

"This school has quite a few great teacher. My children have been involved in the school for five years. Most of their teachers have been a blessing. They have gone beyond teaching and actually CARED. To mention a few great ones: Mrs. Danko, Mrs. Tarquinio and Mrs. Monaghan. Do not know how 'I' would have made it through elementary school. They are the Best!!!!!!"

"This is my daughters first year at vets memorial elementary. Her teacher, ms. Tarquinio, is amazing. The principal is very burturing and has a true love for her school. Each month the school has something fun and educational happening for the children. Our family always looks forward to taking part in the after school activities with our daughter. Alot of the parents are involved in the school and in thier childs education, the way it should be. Wonderful school!"
