"The school could be better with more parents actually caring about their child's well being."

"I was very nervous attending to ACHS freshman year after hearing many bad things about fighting occurring at school. First day of school, i saw a fight happened in front of me for the first time that there my breath away. Immediately, i told my parents to transfer me to Holy Spirit High School. My mom talked me into staying for another week to see if I really want to transfer. It was probably the best decision I've made. Within a week, I made many new friends that I'm still talking to and probably will keep in touch after graduation. Four years attending to ACHS, I have learn to avoid the trouble kids and bad things occurred in school and just focus on school and hang out with people who shared the same interested with me. I met people with different backgrounds and cultural that I allow me to learn many new things from them. There are many clubs and things to do after school that help me a lot for my college resume. I have notice that when you take honors and AP classes, you tend to avoid the bad people and focus on the positive things in school. We have students graduate this year who will be going to Princeton, Upenn, Dukes and even Harvard. I'm happy that I didn't transfer to another school because being the Vikings is the best thing ever."

"Atlantic City High School is a perfect place for student entering with great ambitions and goals. The classes are great. There are many AP and Honor classes available for students to explore. However, it's also a place that students can fall easily into a wrong track. Most AP teachers are very good and care about the student. My English teacher stay after school everyday for me when I told him i need help with grammars. My AP US History teacher even open a prep class for AP students after school to help them achieve their max and prepare for the AP exams. ACHS is a very high school, students coming from a small middle school can feel overwhelmed with the school system. However, popularity doesn't exist in the school. Everybody is friendly and most students have no trouble making friends at all. There are fights occurring through out the school year, but you have to learn to avoid it and walk toward an opposite directions to get to class. ACHS prepare me well in dealing with different people with different cultures and backgrounds that would benefit in college. Overall, it's probably the best choice i've made for coming here."

"The teachers do their job to the best of their ability and even though there is always a class clown they try to work the situation out and keep teaching."

"Alot of the AP teachers understand that students have various backgrounds, and try their best to accommodate our needs both in the class room and at home. Personally many teachers from Atlantic City High School guided me towards the right path, and serve as a mother-like and father-like figure. Thanks to my teachers from Atlantic City High School I will earn a degree from Rutgers, and hopefully live better."
