"My daughter is about to graduate from there. What four great years and a wonderful experience for her. I would recomend this school to any young lady willing to have a great education and also experience what it is like to be in a caring atmosphere. The teachers are great and counselors awesome."
"I am about to enter sophomore year, andI can honestly say my freshman year turned out to be a lot better than I expected. It's a great school for girls interested in music, however the principal seems to cares less about the music programs and places teams on a pedestal. The teachers who actually teach music (marching band leader, orchestra conductor, and vice principal who is the music teacher) show a lot of devotion in what they do. I have to say, this year, as fun as it was, was filled with stress. I understand they want to prepare us for the future, but how much is too much? Research papers, power points, all while studying for tests and hearing how serious the regents are. I luckily passed everything, but I do feel like the stress can be unbearable. Students only have the option of music or art in freshman year. After that, it's nothing but extra work. I always felt that those particular classes kept the rest of the schedule balanced. All in all, Aquinas is a true community. Free tutoring from teachers and students, great extra-curricular programs, and great guidance counselors, not to mention the workout machines. Although stressful, I'm very happy I chose Aquinas."
"I am currently a 9th grader going to tenth grade after this summer and i am going to be in AP classes and honors classes. I have to say, the school is a wonderful school and it is NOT boring, the have a lot of activities for us available, the girls are nice and the friendships that i have made here, i know i will keep forever. I am appalled at the fact that students are saying this school is boring and too strict, coming from a public school I think it is ungrateful to belittle this wonderful school, it is great and IT WILL GET YOU PLACES, IF YOU WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL THIS IS THE SCHOOL FOR YOU, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE IT IN LIFE !"
"I am the parent of an Aquinas graduate and a current AHS student, and I must say that I have been very pleased with the education my daughters have received there, as well as the friendships they have made and the support they received from the faculty and staff. AHS offers the latest in technology, as well as several AP courses, and all of the teachers I have met seem to want to see their students succeed and get into good colleges. There is a good variety of extra curricular activities and clubs, and their yearly musical theatre production is top-notch. Most importantly, for me at least, is that my girls have always felt part of a loving and supportive community at AHS and have made friendships that I believe will be lifelong. I am grateful for this school!"
"I graduated from Aquinas in 1955and I highly recommend this..Yes it is strict, but as you get older you realize the reason for this..Aquinas prepares the student to accept the responsibility for their actions and prepares them for a truly successful life ...in this life and prepares them for the life to come. God bless the teachers who work so hard to sew the seed of knowledge and common sense....Bernadette Brawley Powers, RN, OCDS."
