"i also feel the need to address the post from june 12th. her comments are so far from the truth it made me sick to my stomach. Let me tell you about that parent. You know the type that when she volunteers for a function only helps her child. actually sat down and help her, not caring about any body elses child. Then being a lunch mother, well that didnt work out to good either. Then bullying who was the bully. oh course not her child. Please i pity the school that her daughter is now with. not because of the child its the MOTHER. they will soon see what we all here at O.L.A. know. Too bad she didnt need a reference. I say good riddens to bad rubbish. I will always be proud of being part of the ola school, parent guild, and parish. I don't feel the need to defend my fellow board members, we do all the things we do not because we have to, its because we want to and that is why we are so successful."

"I feel compelled to write a rebuttal to the last post . My children have been at OLA for the past 4 years. I have found it to be a wonderful environment for academics as well as being very family oriented. The teachers are "seasoned" and although the classes are a bit large, my children have thrived. As for the Parent Guild, they do so much for the children and they are a terrific group of people who work very hard and volunteer many hours of their time for all of the school children. Take a look at the pictures on the website and you will see happy faces on "all" children. As for the Principal, he is a no-nonsense kind of guy --- which he has to be, especially when dealing with relentess parents who never want to take responsibility for their own children's behavior! And, although I do not know too much about the lunch supervisor, I find it hard to believe she is "screaming and yelling" all the time. I just hope that the parent who posted the negative comments will let her children be happy and thrive at St. Benedicts!"

"Bullied by Faculity, Principal & Pastors! Been at OLA for years- had an issue, approached principal who agreed it was important & serious however he ignored it because he was afraid to approach the teachers & kids because some were of Parent Guild status. The PG runs the school, only their kids count. Every activity, involvement, gathering, event- the PG kids & are on top, look at their website, all you see are pictures of PG kids! Its supposed to be 2yrs, then your done, but not this crew! They just move eachother around! Its been the same parents for years! He wont displine teachers because they've been there so many years- however yelling & degrading children in front of class is not accectable, favoring PG kids is not fair. Its like a Military school! YELLING! Esp the Lunch Supervisor/PreK assistant! She is known & witnessed by ALL the lunch aides actually SCREAMing at & PULLing tiny 3&4 yr olds ALL the time!! If you tell you get shunned out! So no one says anything! She does it to this age bc they cant express themselves, she gets away with it- They ALL do! Even the Pastor ignored it when told- he knew it yet shunned it! Teachers need to RETIRE! Unmarried & no kids=No patience!"

"I am very pleased with Education my child receives at OLA. Yes there is a lot of homework at times but overall you cant be the education and the sense of family. Since it is a small school I feel every one looks out for each others children. I also like the the teachers and staff know your child's name and there aren't just a student among a big crowd. My last comment however said you don't fit in OLA unless you are Italian and have tattoos is so wrong that couldn't be further from the truth. Again Blue Ribbon school says it all."
