"I am in 7th grade now but i went to ps 108 from kindergarten to 5th grade. i highly recommend this school to anyone who is having a hard time making a choice with what school to send their kids to. the learning is great and there is not too much homework so your child will have time to relax. i made many friends even a great friend i still see every day today! the staff and teachers are very nice and helpful so you are sure that youre child is in good hands! the only thing i didnt like was no sports teams or afterschool activities except for ymca"

"My daughter attends this school and has since kindergarten. Although the budget cut have affected the afterschool programs such as the high way robbery after school program that charges $200 for young students to baby sit your child till 6pm and have no experience nor actual planned activities. The extended day program has been cut down from 5 days to only two. The teachers ask students about personal information that is unnecessary for them to know. The school itself does have a safe community feeling, although it has received numerous bomb threats through the years, which can make you feel very uncomfortable. As for school trips there are many, but don't expect to get picked for chaperoning school trips with our child. They exclusively pick favored parents, preferred parents. The reason for the 4 stars is definitely because of the educational progress my daughter has made with this school besides these other little details."

"My level of satisfaction with this school remains to be seen. I chose PS 108 over neighboring catholic schools because of the level of transparency and accountability built into the public school system, as well as its adoption of progressive teaching methods and technology tools that you just don't find in catholic schools. PS 108 partially fits the bill as a solid neighborhood school, although I question how much of the student body is truly from the neighborhood. I've been happy so far with those who have taught my children, but some of the students we've encountered have been abhorrent. Disruptive, disrespectful, and a distraction in the classroom, not to mention a less-than-stellar influence on classmates. While I understand that public school is open to all children, it's a huge detriment to the school as a whole and should be handled better. Additionally, relations between faculty and administration are visibly tense."

"I have three children in this school and I am surprised by this rating. I feel this school is a ten. The principal and new assistant principal are very personable and are doing an extroridarny job. All the teachers my children have had are so passionate about there job along with the paras and lunch aids. I read a comment about Ms. Sanabria so this is why I am writing a comment now. Ms. Sanabria is every parents dream come true though I have other experiences with other teachers no one comes close to her. She is just a remarkable woman. I must also compliment the gym teacher as well there has been no better than Ms. Mac, I thought we had no hope with all the gym teachers we had in the past 5 years. Iam stuck in the Bronx till they all graduate."
