"My aunts and uncles went here. My mom. My brother and I. I read these reviews now, about athletics taking precedent, the good 'ol boy network, and then I read mlive about the retire-rehire scandals, the money that went missing after the last passed millage... and I want to cry. It has been 40 years and nothing has changed. The idea that this school system is in a transitional period is laughable, and would only be asserted by someone very new. This school district failed me, point blank. I tried to approach with an open mind when it was my kid's turn... schools change, they improve sometimes.... but not Columbia! I am so grateful for school of choice and online options. I am so grateful that my kids are not students here. I am ashamed of my parents for their over abundance of patience, waiting, hoping, volunteering, thinking that things would improve. If you are white, Christian, rich, just smart enough, and above all, athletic, you might fit in at Columbia, but you still won't receive a high quality education."

"I loved every minute at CCHS. Teachers are very helpful and involved. The more the school improves on technology and education the more likely the students are to improve. They offer many AP classes for juniors and seniors , letting them further their education to college."

"I graduated four years ago and loved every second of being at Columbia! I loved all of my teachers and met a lot of great people. Of course there were one or two less-than-stellar teachers, but what school doesn't have those?"

"I pulled my kids and never looked back. The academics here are pathetic. The faculty seemed incredibly resistant to change. The extra-curriculars were underwhelming."

"This school seems a little 'behind' technologically and pedagogically, but altogether provided me with a wonderful education."
