"The students are animals and jungle bunnies. They talk back and curse the teachers out. If the school closes, they should turn it into a jail. They are nothing but a bunch of dirtbags."

"Its a place where graduate students would love to go back too. Its like a big family, everyone gets along very well.. and the teachers are the best."

"This school is awesome. It is in the heart of the South Bronx and the kids are really sweet and striving for higher achievement than they have ever reached prior. This school has a very unique approach to educating the kids starting with one hour classes and as much support for the kids as a family would have or even more.. Banana Kelly High School needs the money for this 'diamond in the ghetto' so we can continue our vision to have every student who graduates from BKHS be college bound!"

"Banana Kelly is a small school that really focuses on improving the education for our students. All our teachers, faculty, and administration work together during and after school hours in order to provide the best collaborative lesson planning and school events that will benefit our students and the surrounding community that our students live in."

"I am proud of Banana Kelly HS because it is so beloved by it's students. Even students who do not do as well as they want to academically are emotionally invested in the school. The staff truly care about the students."
