"I liked Brooklyn High School because of its small town feel. It was easy to get to know the teachers and for the most part, they were pretty helpful with questions. Everybody knew everybody which can be looked at as good or bad. This widened the scope of friendships made, and shrunk the size of cliques in my opinion because circles of friends were all mixed. I did not think the school had much school spirit. I came from a small town in another state where literally the whole town would show up to every sporting event and root for the team. Brooklyn seemed to lose in most sports and except the fact that they were losers in sports. Most people seemed to want to get out of Brooklyn, and weren't proud of saying they were from Brooklyn, like the town I came from."

"What is Brooklyn High School like? It's an environment full of individuals who don't know which clich they want to be apart of. There's the jocks, the preppy kids, the "ghetto" kids, and,of course, the nerds. Being at Brooklyn has shown me that everyone wants to be something that they aren't, no one can really be themselves without being judged. Luckily for me, I've been in Brooklyn for most of my life, I've created some life-long friendships and that is one good thing my school has provided for me. Another good aspect of Brooklyn is the teachers, they all seem to genuinely care about the students future. Unfortunately, it seems like the teachers care more about the student's future than the student themselves. There's not too much I would fix about Brooklyn because the problem isn't the surroundings or the academic staff members, it's the individuals I call my "peers"."

"Brooklyn may not be the best school in academics or sports, but I definitely had a memorable time there. They do a lot to make sure that the students are having fun and being involved."

"Brooklyn High School seems like any other high school. You go to class, do your work, and leave. It has its fair share of good and bad teachers, but I enjoy the school enough."

"I really enjoyed going to this school for a number of reasons. First off our band director is fantastic! He puts 110% in everything he does and he teaches his students to do the same. He really loves his job. Secondly, I enjoyed going to this school because of the AVID program. We had the opportunity to visit colleges along with doing other things to help students be prepared for college. We also had the opportunity to build some really good friendships and our teacher was finominal. She went above and beyond. You could tell that she truly cares about her students."
