    "The school has excellent new leadership and the micro-farm complete with chickens, Monarchs, student gardens and a wetland, make this a unique and wonderful education. Very strong program and they're adding 7th and 8th grades!!!"

    "At its best, FSH can be a nurturing , supportive community. Our older daughter spent 2 years at FSH after a traumatic experience in public school, and they helped her get back on her feet emotionally. If you have a sensitive child who is prone to depression, FSH could be a good choice. On the other hand, the academics are terrible here, especially math. Ask any of the surrounding schools, and they'll tell you they routinely send FSH grads to remedial math. The new Head shows no intention of fixing the problem. If you're looking for a Quaker school that's serious academically, try Friends Central. If your child has any kind of special needs -- learning differences, behaviour issues, whatever -- don't bother. FSH is just not equipped to deal with any of this stuff. The class sizes are tiny, but that doesn't mean different kids get different teaching."

    "A wonderful school focused on childhood. There is no other private school experience on the Main Line like it. The quiet, small campus, pre-K to sixth grade student body and Quaker ethos make this one of the best places to send your elementary age school children. The academics are strong and the values-based education is a breath of fresh air in this "outcomes obsessed" and materialistic culture we live in. New head hired in 2008 is dynamic and experienced. This school is a treasure."

    "Friends School is greater than the sum of its parts. My daughter has excelled in her next school and I owe it to the extraordinary teaching and nurturing she received. She is a true learner and has distinguished herself as a class leader. You need to see the new gorgous campus, too!"

    "There is no place on the main line like this school. The community there is an extension of our family-nurturing our children. The school teaches the whole child while fostering an intense curiosity and love of learning. Many schools in the area hold places for and hope to enroll FSH graduates. These students are confident, kind and bright leaders. We will miss FSH when our children move forward but we'll always feel a part of the community."
