"It would be a better school if students cared about their education and if teachers were more helpful. The guidance councilers not even that much help and I know they have to deal with a lot of students but that's their job so. if I could do high school again i would choose somewhere different."

"Personally, I was panicking after graduation. I felt as if most of my peers that graduated with me all knew where they were headed and I did not have the slightest clue. I have plenty of veterans within my family and my mother was pressuring me to go into the Navy as she had done years ago. This is because financially, college seemed far fetched and she didn't want me to be in debt. I had always wanted to a big university and meet people interested in the same things as me career wise. I was told by her that my grades weren't good enough and none of those schools would accept me without straight A's. I had decided to take that into consideration and by graduation I was already processed in the Navy. I pretended that I was happy about the decision. My principal, friends, and counselor were all shocked. Nobody wanted me to go and didn't buy my act. After graduation I left and spent my summer back in Phoenix where I used to live before I moved to to Buffalo. From there I was supposed to keep in contact with the military and attend my meetings until my leave date which was Dec.3,2013. As I talked to different veterans and people within the Navy, I realized that their opinions were all different. Most suggested that I just go for it and have fun, while others told me that if I wasn't sure I shouldn't have joined because it is a huge commitment. Naturally I was stuck. I felt like that was my only option to be successful. Well, after leaving town, I had to think about my future and what I wanted. I decided not to go and I came back to buffalo to attend NCCC in 2014. My parents were disappointed. My first semester was tough mentally I was not ready and I failed 2 classes for the first time ever. This gave my parents more reason to be push the military on me and I regretted not going. However, after talking to a counselor here about my problems, I felt motivated again. In the fall I passed all my classes with A's, B's and a C. I plan to keep trying and earn higher grades."

"The teachers at this school is very involved and engaged. They constantly help students in every way they can while still on track and not falling behind. Most of the teachers show major intrest in the students and frequently communicate with every student even if they do not teach them. They do their best to making their teaching a fun, interesting and open enviroment for the students."

"Most of the teachers at my school are pretty good at what they do. Most of them have been teaching for a long period of time. The way they teach is fun and interesting at the same time , sometimes the syllabus can be confusing but they are willing to help you understand it.But there really no problems there overall teaching styles and communication skills are right on point."
