"As a student, I can say that Wash High has done what it is supposed to do; the school district has given me a very good education, in a great environment, by qualified instructors and guides. Despite renovations (which started in the year 2010), we students are unhindered in our education. I cannot see why Wash High has gotten a poor reputation from the community, because, frankly, it's great. In short, the academics have prepared me more than adequately for my future, the social and environmental atmosphere is simply beneficent, and the staff-persons are comfortable for individual needs and well-qualified for their positions."

"I would like to say great things about this school, but I was looking at websites because of our upcoming move, I thought this would be a good start, however, the lady who answered the phone did not have clearly have the mission of the district Washington School District, provides a caring and supportive learning community in which members challenge and motivate each other to become proficient, honorable citizens and productive life-long learners, in mind. Washington School district is now not on the list of to send my children too."

"I am a mother of 3 children who have attended Washington School district from Elementary thru graduation (our last child will be graduating 2011) Their school experience was wonderful and they would not have changed a thing. The teachers offered close attention, advanced classes-college prep classes and went and go beyond their school time hours with after school support if needed. Not only are the advanced student attended to but all others that fall in between. As for activities such as sports and band...our school allows a child to be involved in several activities...not limiting them to one sport or choose between being in sports or band...as the teachers and instructors work well together to be sure we have well rounded students. Our parent involvement is also wonderful...Prexie Pride runs many generations. So if you are moving into our wonderful town, come interview our school, you will be impressed"

"Wash High is a school where teachers and most instruction staff work very hard for the benefit of the students but receive no support from administration. At last check, Principal Frank Rotunda is far too distant from the needs and concerns of the students. Guidance staff is not helpful and is usually in transition. Social issues are ignored or swept under the rug, which is a huge change from the supportive administration in the middle school. My recommendation would be to bus your child to Trinity if possible. Wash High needs a lot of help and administration does little to benefit the students or support the staff."
