"Have not performance standards, parents ideas do not matter and data driven school. It is based on principal preference, not on what is good for the students. This year we spent $25,000 on structured recess??!!"

"Please do not misconstrue this as a bad review. ATA has served my son very well he is on his way to the 2nd grade (honor roll) and has always had an amazing teacher (since K). The now former principal was an amazing leader, but his staff, I have always found questionable. They are uncouth and unrestrained in terms of their own demeanor, I would even go as far as to say, they frighten me. I have heard children being reprimanded verbally in very harsh ways "shut-up". The school is just about 99.% African-American and the neighborhood is trying to rebuild itself, but the influence the older children and staff have on the young ones deeply concerns me. Unfortunately, I am transferring my son to another school.....he is getting to that age where his environment is everything I would rather it be a positive and age-appropriate one."

"This is a decent school but it is not for your overachiever. The school is traditional in a since regrding the curriculum. I hated the neighborhood two shootings occured on same block. Also really grown acting kids in this school, kids who said very inappropriate things really struck me(at early ages)."

"Great school!! my son has beeen attending ata for three years now and i am very satisfied with his progress. The staff are wonderful and the principal is an excellent leader. They engage the children in learning outside the classroom and provide great workshops, activities and information sessions. I am very pleased with ata they do a wonderful job."

"2005/06 school year is when my 5 year old twins started attending ATA. So far so good! I am very impressed with the staff's commitment, the school cirriculum and ATA's mission to teach and enspire our young students. I look forward to another great year. Keep up the good work ATA."
