"There is less quality control and oversight of instruction in public schools than in the fabrication of my underwear. The latter, at least, involves a Fruit-of-the-Loom inspector. But in the US (and Carbondale Community High School is no exception) a comparable level of quality control does not exist. Teachers who have acquired a reputation throughout the community for less-than-competent teaching are allowed to continue year after year. Did administrators ever consider routinely and closely examining day-to-day instructional practices? Apparently not; their presence in the classroom is virtually non-existent. A larger more worrisome question is whether these administrators actually have the skill to detect inept instruction or the capacity to correct it when they do."

"Carbondale High School is a great school, that works to assist all students in the learning process. It is very diverse in its student population and offers an array of classes, including AP and Honors classes, as well as, support classes for students who need additional assistance."

"The teachers cannot teach and yell at the students when they ask questions. there are only few good teachers and most of them are leaving. the discipline is rarely fair to students."
