"Absolutely amazing school! The teachers pay attention to every student and get to know their students personally. Whatever your interests, there are people and teachers supporting you 100%! I was involved with drama, chorus, and band and found all three to be amazing programs with extremely encouraging teachers. The Language Arts program is outstanding as well as math. You will find that your child is very warmly welcomed and admitted to the school. There are plenty extra curricular activities to get into, such as leadership, art, drama, band (won many first place trophies), chorus (won 1st place in every category), woodshop, and a variety of sports with minimal cut offs. A highly recommended school! I had the greatest years here!"

"We moved to Carmel in July and have had a fantastic experience here at Carmel Middle School. My child was able to play volleyball and basketball and the kids were incredibly friendly. My daughter was able to make friends very easily here. People came up to her specifically when they noticed she was new and invited her to sit with them and took her around to introduce her to others. She has gotten involved in a lot of activities both inside and outside of school and the support from the teachers and staff is outstanding. They work very hard to help kids fit in, get involved in activities and become part of the school community. They have a mentoring program for 6th graders done by 8th graders to help with these issues. CMS also boasts a great music program and jazz band. Also a very involved parent community and PTA."

"My child just transferred mid year from a private middle school and was warmly accepted by a very nice group of students. He has been invited to many social events outside of school and the friends he has made are terrific! The teachers have been awesome, calling and emailing me regularly to make sure that our child has transitioned well. We came from an exceptional middle school where we use to live and we are thrilled to say that thus far we are more than impressed. The curriculum is based on addressing multiple intelligence and giving students a myriad of different ways to learn. The school culture seems to be interconnected to current events and the students actively work with their teachers to find solutions to real world issues like global warming, environmental habitat protection and healthy lifestyle choices. As for others social comments, our child has been warmly welcomed here!"
