"the school is a horrible school, the teachers give the kids no motivation, the new principal is leading this school back to what it was 2 years ago, the school is very old, and needs severe renovations, kids are allowed to do whatever, like the school is out of control, if you ask to use the bathroom, you get sent to the office for no reason, I literally hate this school, I like nothing about it, the only way the school could improve in my opinion is get a new principle, the one we're stuck with now is leading us to our deaths. Just letting you know, if you are thinking about bringing your child here, DO NOT, your better off with Harmony HS, Liberty HS, Gateway, or even TECO."
"This is my second year in PHS and honestly the school isn't even all that bad. The staff always try their best to get students involved in school events. In my opinion, it's the students who make the school look and sound bad. They want to do whatever they want and that's not how it is. But at the same time, the teachers don't motivate us in class. All they do is yell and kick people out for the littlest things. They give up on their students too easily. The only good thing about the school is that the faculty allows us to express ourselves with piercings, the way we dye our hair, and dress. Yes, we have to wear uniforms but they let us put our own little style into it. Not something big, but they let us add something so we can feel comfortable. Now we have a new Principal coming in and honestly, I feel like he's taking away all our rights from the letter he sent in the mail. We can't wear face piercings or more than 2 on the ear. We can't wear sandals or slides. I have many piercings and I refuse to take them off. I also love wearing slides we spend 8 hours every day walking class to class and doing stuff we want to be comfortable. I understand its for safety but we're old enough."
"This school is absolutely awful. you are DOOMED if you go to this school. If could I would give it ZERO stars. As my mom once said about this school...BASURA. (Means garbage in Spanish) If you want to throw away the fun years of high school....Come to Poinciana High School!!! you can just chew gum or burp you would get an automatic suspension for 5 days. If you don't want your child to graduate then...Come to Poinciana High School. Where only 30 percent of students graduate. This years graduation was only like 5 seconds long from how few people graduated. Also most of the students there are...troublemakers. Not a good environment for any kid to learn both educational wise and manner wise. Now I know why there were an F school recently....NO FUN or LEARNING. What a waste of 4 years...no... one hour...no...one second in this pathetic excuse for a school."
"I Spent 4 Years at poinciana High School, and I can certainly say that those were the best four years of my life. I got Involved in sports and as many activities as possible, which enhanced my high school career. My best memories are of things I used to do in Poinciana, regardless of what many people might say, Poinciana is and will always be the best High School. - John E"
"You get what you give. You cannot expect teachers to do everything; it starts and has to be reinforced at HOME. My 2 son will be Poinciana grads and the 1st one graduate with 33 college credits. He now has a Computer Eng. degree. 2nd one is on his 4th year. The more challenging the class the better prepared for College your student will be. Parents have to get involved, support the school and encourage their child to take challenging classes and WORK HARD. Parents need to Thank Poinciana Teachers and staff. I found Poinciana to have a great Academics Program, Outstanding NJROTC, Sports Program and many other fine Programs. Poinciana High School is a Quality learning environment. The staff is inspiring, hardworking and friendly. They work with what we give them, talk to your student and school and see the get what you give at work."
