"So three days into this new school and district and I must say I am not impressed. Recently moved here from another state and I was told this was the best of the best district. Well I guess if you are hispanic or african american it is! My son has red hair and white skin and the ginger name is already being slung. I find this to be a racial slur!!! We just moved from a highly ethnic populated school system and we had the same problem there. I was really hoping for a fresh start. If he takes action against these kids he'll be the one in trouble. Come on parents remind your kids that racial acceptance is on both ends! No one should be called anything that calls out there ethnic background. If my son is a ginger what can he call others???? Something to think about!!!"

"We came from an expensive private school and KMS has exceeded our expectations! Challenging classes, approachable teachers who enjoy what they do and great leadership from the principal. At the private school, every decision and change was painstaking with administration taking forever to complete a task. At KMS, they jump right in, make the change, analyze it, tweek it and so far... the experience has been a success for my child. I feel my child is well prepared for high school (and perhaps college too) after the courses taken and also had great exposure to music, art, P.E. and computers. I give KMS a big thumbs up and am looking forward to the new challenges they have in store for my next child who will attend middle school soon."

"Kyrene Middle School buses in too many kids from undesirable areas to keep enrollment up,and the apples dont fall far from the trees if you know what i mean.My son tells me of fights every day at the bus area, loud disruptive students, and teachers that are overwhelmed with "BAD APPLES""

"This school has had some growing pains, but I am still pleased with the education my child received at KMS. The Music and Art Dept. are amazing. There are some incredible teachers at KMS, a prep program, and lots of opportunities for all. Sure there are some 'bad apples' as in any school but overall I feel my daughter had a great experience at KMS."
