"I am a teacher at Fermi Elementary. I love my school because the teachers and staff work hard for the kids. I have a great class and they make my day every day!"

"If the administration is working so hard, why have so many teachers left? Why are the children in split classes? Why are their no improvement in scores? The administration, Principal and vice are the leaders of that school. If changes needed to be made to improve the students success it comes from the head. I don't think Dr. Sanders has done a good job! What has happened since she has been their is wrong and not working. Teachers can only do what the principal tells them to do! Everything that shines (Dr.. Sanders) is not gold!!!!!!!!!!"

"As a parent, I feel that the administration, that is the Principal and Asst. Principal are the most professional, caring and hardest working individuals that I've ever seen at any school. Any teachers who are not happy with change should find another place to work. This is about the children. Fermi has plenty of good teachers, but more are needed. There are some who are left over from the old administratiion who probably should go somewhere else. I've watched Fermi change for the better over the years and if a new administration can accomplish this type of positive change at that school, the kids benefit directly. Change is natural and constant. Hooray for Fermi and those who support positive change!"

"Fermi school has an amazing staff, from the secretaries, to the lunch room staff, to the teacher assistants, and, of course, the teachers themselves. The teachers work very hard and set high expectations for all their students. This is a school you should want to send your child to!"

"2007-2008 has been my first year teaching at Fermi elementary and I have been very impressed with many aspects of the School. I am currently the art teacher. I find the new administration is successfully making tremendous strides toward school improvement. The school has amped up its safety and security, Special Education Department and extracurricular activities. Fermi offers Visual Arts, Physical Education, basketball, softball and pom teams, after school programs, tutoring and fieldtrips. The school is part of Visual Thinking Strategies program (VTS), a visual literacy program designed to expand the student s vocabulary, critical thinking skills, descriptive writing skills and conflict resolution. It is also a Positive Behavior Intervention School (PBIS), a school wide incentive program based upon positive reinforcement. Overall I think the faculty and staff at Fermi is top rate and go the extra mile to keep Fermi at the top!"
