"I would give this school zero stars if it allowed. This school is an absolute joke!! As a product of catholic school for 17 years (preschool to college graduate) I believe that this place should be ashamed of itself. 1. The principal is not a qualified principal ie doesn't have her principal's license 2. When a students phone is taken away they have to pay a $25 fee (100% illegal) 3. The principal/ president are only in it for the money. They most definitely got into the wrong profession. Spend the extra money and go to another catholic school, even a CPS high school would be better"
"I graduated Notre Dame High School for girls in 2010 so I don't know much that is new with the school; however, my time there was very enjoyable. My senior year was not that great because we lost many teachers that made learning fun and simple, but it's a process. The funding for school is low so there wasn't much technology, but if more girls went then they'll be more funding to get bigger and better things for its students. Notre Dame High School for girls is not a terrible place, you just have to give it a chance."
"Id like to clear some things up. First of all, student enrollment at Notre Dame is close to 100 students. Second of all, any "bullying" that takes place at the school is investigated thoroughly when students report it, handled by the appropriate people, and is not tolerated. Third of all, scholarship money is given by the alumni and donors, regardless of how many students are enrolled in the school. To say that they are enrolling students simply for money is completely false. Technology-students have full access to computers and the library, and the school has a classroom set of tablets, with plans in motion to have a full school set of tablets in 2013, with students taking courses based around tablet usage. Finally, there is no such thing as a "mass credit." Students recieve credits for religion classes. If you transfer to a school without religion classes, those credits will not transfer, obviously. Additionally, if you take Polish, and the school you go to doesnt have Polish, those credits obviously wouldn't transfer either. This school is absolutely safe. Students have disagreements with one another, the dean of students and administration handles this."
"THIS SCHOOL IS TERRIBLE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! WHEN MY DAUGHTER GRADUATED LAST YEAR FROM 8TH GRADE I THOUGHT THIS WAS GREAT BECAUSE IT WAS FAITH BASED, BUT IT IS NOT....THE PRINCIPAL HAS A HORRIBLE ATTITUDE AND IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND SHE ALSO USES PROFANITY AND SHOWS FAVORITISM! IT'S A MOTHER DAUGHTER TEAM AND THEY ARE IN IT FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY THEY CAN GET OFF OF YOUR CHILD! THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE, FIRSTLY THE GIRLS THAT GO HERE ARE TERRIBLE! THEY FIGHT IN THE BATHROOMS LUNCHROOM AND IN THE CLASSROOMS! THEY PUT GRAFFITTI ON THE BATHROOM WALLS AND USE FOUL LANGUAGE! DO NOT , I REPEAT DO NOT SEND YOUR DAUGHTER HERE! THERE IS MAJOR BULLYING GOING ON AND THE PRINCIPAL DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT! SHE ALLOWS IT ! THE TAG LINE SAYS-FAITH BASED, IT IS NOT, TECHONOLOGY RICH, DON'T BE FOOLED THEY DO NOT EVEN ALLOW THEM IN THE LIBRARY OR TO USE COMPUTERS, COLLEG PREP, NOPE, SOME CREDITS WILL BE LOST, ESPECIALY THE POLISH CLASS CREDITS AND MASS CREDITS, SAFE AND SECURE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IS SO NOT TRUE, YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE SAFE, THERE ARE STUDENTS THROWING FOOD AND FIGHTING BIG TIME AT THIS SCHOOL! THERE ARE ONLY LIKE 50 GIRLS AND ALL AND THAT EQUALS TROUBLE!"
"Notre Dame has been struggling to be a good school but honestly, it has gotten a lot better. The AP courses are really good as well as the honor classes. The classroom size it small so the teachers will give more attention. There are now new teachers, who are by far the best and really challenging! You make life long friends but because it's an all girl school, there is always drama. Most of office staff are very rude and fake but it is a safe school! You really won't hate this school if you make the most of it :)"
