"I am extremely satisified with the learning experience at Pershing. They have extremely high standards for the students and instill the parents into the childs everyday learning experience."

"The school is a wonderful learning environment, the staff is very nice, friendly, professional and very personalable. The Principle there Mrs Hill runs a type ship however it is all in good taste. She knows the children my name and acknowledges them with tough love and much respect. I only ask that the consistency of the uniform be addressed at all times not periodically. Otherwise Love Pershing East Magnet school its staff, vice principal, principal, and her love, work and her ability to collaboratively work with teachers and parents to meet the needs of students!!!!!"

"For this school to have 'Magnet Status', I really don't see what's so magnet about it. The curriculum is basic and unchallenging. The Principle Ms. Hill is arrogant and does nothing to enhance Pershing's mission. Pershing West is just as bad. The Principles of both schools are friends. Many parents are considering enrolling their children elsewhere."

"Pershing East is a school filled with teachers who care, and students who have a 'hunger' for learning. In addition to their great teaching staff, the students are also supported by a wonderful principat and assistant principal who work together in an effort to bridge the gap between school and home."

"The school is a pretty nice one. My child could be challenged a bit more, but I try to do that at home. More afterschool extracurricular activities such as pom pon, music, sports, etc. Should be offered. Overall, ms. Hill and the team does a nice job considering that the district expects all of the schools to teach to the test!"
