"As a teacher at Ferst I appreciate the support of Administration and the integrative support of our staff members. We promote positive thinking toward students, encourage more challenging tasks and abilities, and create friendships on all academic/social levels. Our parents enjoy daily communication with us to work on goals at home and at school. I look forward to the daily challenges and individual milestones achieved. Please visit any time to evaluate us for your special needs child. Everyone is welcome."

"The teachers whom I observed for over three hours were outstanding. They were still teaching on the last day of Summer School. The principal and assistant principal both have the best interest of the students at heart. The dog therapy program is very sweet, and the fact that there is a life skills program is outstanding. The building is dismal, and there is no integration of the special needs students with any regular ed. students; and that is an area where improvement needs to be made. An ugly building is a minor complaint as long as the teachers and therapists are high quality. These are."

"I really do not know that these people are talking about. I am not sure if we are talking about the same school. My experience is completely different. Teachers and therapists are knowlegable, decicated and always eager to help me and my son. I receive daily communication regarding my son's progress. I also feel welcome to visit any time and ask any questions. I just can not thank them enough for helping my child and my family. The building is older but well maintained. Administrators have always responded to any of my questions. The administrators seems to know all the students and very informed in their daily activities."

"There are rarelyr enough teachers due to high turnover and lowpay . School prefers to run cheaply with Teacher Assistants and day workers. The school is dirty and gloomy, not just because it is an older building. Administrators not readily available and don't give honest answers. Good therapy services."

"Harried teachers, other therapies, poor communication, gloomy and unappealing."
