"I went to UPLIFT when it first came about. Great school and so-so teachers at first. Now my cousins go there and there is a change...but for the better. Love UPLIFT."

"As a parent of a Senior, I have to give Uplift 5 stars!. My son has been an on point since his Freshman year. The teachers are very dedicated to making sure all succeed. The one on one attention given if needed is so remarkable. There is a open door policy there , so any parent that says the cannot speak to the teachers or the principle has not tried. You are greeted with respect and the entire staff can tell you on any given day just what mood your child is in. The prep for college is remarkable and the push to have all succeed is not spoken on enough in my opinion. The excitement that the Juniors and Seniors project pertaining to the ACT and college completely blew my mind. And to make things better, the scholarships are flowing in! Kudos to uplift for doing such a remarkable job with not only my son, but all of their students. Parents, if your reading, get more involved...that's the only thing missing here."

"The Principal, staff, and teachers are all so dedicated at Uplift. There are a large number of Programs that are offered to motivate students, and help increase their academic skills. There are also opportunities for students to tap into their creative talents such as tap dancing, choir, band, and the list goes on. I coordinate the GEAR UP Program at Uplift and we are working with the Senior Mentors to make sure that every senior at Uplift has applied to at least 5 colleges. We will make sure that students have sent transcripts to these schools, and we will assist them until they receive an acceptance letter from a college. We are aslo assiting them with ACT Prep, their Personal Statements, Applying for Financial Aid, and either writing letters of recommendations for them or helping them identify people who will write q letter for them. Uplift is a school that attempts to make sure that each student has as many opportunities, support, and personal one on one academic assistance as possible. Each teacher at Uplift has designated at least two days per week that they stay after school to help any student that needs that additional one on one time to understand anything that was not clear during class time. I can honestly say that in my 25 years of working with public schools Uplift is number one on my list. The outreach and support to parents and students is extraordinary at Uplift Community High School."

"I have currently been attending this Renaissance 2010 school since the 2nd quarter of freshman year, and it's given me so many opportunities for my future. I've had chances to do things that were once in a lifetime opportunities, and of course, I've taken them. The school also introduced me to an organization called Alternatives, which is basically like a youth center, and that organization helped just as much as Uplift has.The college preparatory programs here are phenomenal. Last year, our first year of seniors had a very high graduation rate, and 100% of those seniors who graduated were accepted to a college (One was even accepted into Howard). I highly recommend Chicago students to attend this school."

"I am a parent who's child attends Uplift. The teachers are GREAT!!!!!!!! they really care about the students which is what alot of students need. But they are right about the Principle she is never to be found I mean if you have issues or just need to talk you have to make an appointment which might mean a few weeks. Which I have never thought if a parent really had issues that a appointment was needed. but the staff is Great i like Uplift for what it has to offer."
