"This school is outstanding! From top to bottom, all of the staff seems to genuinely love all of the children. The energy of a positive learning environment is palpable. The teachers always look like they are engaging the students. There seems to be very few behavior issues; the students are even well behaved when they are walking in halls! As a working parent I truly appreciate their innovative approach to education by having an extended school day with included before and after school programming (which includes homework help!). You can drop off your child as early as 6:00am and pick them up at late as 6:00pm! I do not have to worry about making arrangements for after school care at all. AWESOME! They serve breakfast, lunch, and supper; take numerous field trips that are relevant to the dynamic curriculum; and promote and celebrate emergent leadership skills at their weekly assemblies and other special pull out classes. My 5 year old in kindergarten is already reading and doing math concepts on a 1st grade level. She is so happy that she never wants to leave at the end of the day! And she is not alone. Children are happy here and they love to learn. I love it! Thank you VLA!"

"I am very excited about this school's fresh and new approach to teaching. I understand that this school is in the fetal stages of developing and there are things that need to be worked on but I feel that they are headed in the direction of being one of the top schools in the Illinois. One of the school's beliefs is that if we are molding world leaders of tommorow, they should be exposed to other countries and cultures. So this year the third graders are going to Brazil and I think that is wonderful. My daughter is 7 and in the 2nd grade and maybe she will be able to go and explore another country next year. Bravo!"

"This school challeges the children and exposes them to everthing (extracurricular) and everybody (different cultures). Upon entering the school, my child was a #1 follower. A characteristic that I have been trying to change for years. Today, my child is one of the many #1 leaders at Village Leadership Academy."
