"In my opinion i would say that this school is best. It is known for its rumors about the school being haunted. Since John Hancock College Prep is a small school you get to know more friends and teacher. I thought I wanted to go to Curie Metro High school, but when i made so many friends and teachers and I became homecoming king I knew that this was my new home after i graduated from middle school. In the school they have a lot of programs for example dance, guitar, gardening, cooking club, anime club, club japan and much more. I have joined a program called C.A.S.A where they teach you guitar and express your artistic feelings in the art program of C.A.S.A. I have also joined a program called After School Matters Verde where we do gardening and and team work activities."

"Most of the teachers in my school are supportive, and try to help us as much as possible to get our grades up. They provide us with something called scholar hour which is a sort of class after school that helps us complete our missing assignments, tests, test retakes and other things you need help with in class. If you don't have time for that, they will help you during their lunch period."

"If I could repeat high school again I would certainly have Hancock as a top choice. However I would probably look for another school in which there would be a greater culture diversity and traveling opportunities. Hancock has an international club in which I have taken advantage of but the school is mainly populated by Hispanic students, although I am Hispanic myself and I feel as part of my school community I would have liked to be surrounded my other cultures as well."

"I like Hancock High School because it is not overcrowded. When you are in the hallways there is space to walk at your pace. The classroom are not so packed either. Maximum number of students in a classroom are 30. Counselors help yo with any problem you are having in school."

"At Hancock there is a variety of staff that are willing to help students in whatever they need. As part of the College Ambassador Program at my school I have seen the help of many teachers when it comes to spread the college going culture at our school. Also many teachers are very friendly and approachable so that at least every student has a teacher they are able to trust or go talk to. My experiences with my teachers have been great, and I have learned a lot from every single one."
