"My son's first year was fine all the teachers he understood . Second year Mr Shin he is having a problem with along with the other classmates. The kids don't understand him also he has poor teaching skills and doesn't care abt his kids. Math AP takes his side when addressed with the problem with out hearing my son side of the story. Mr Bomer is the kindest caring person he actually cares abt the kids and help in the best way possible."

"Guidance is exceptional. I have one person who was a Godsend right from the first day of school.. As far as safety.. it's not terrible, but it's not great either.. I am in the process of getting a safety transfer for my child. I don't want my kid in this school anymore. The closing of another school in the area, has changed Cardozo's reputation. It's unfortunate, but I would prefer to keep my child safe."

"Our family moved to bayside from out of state in order to enroll our kid to Cardozo, which enjoyed a great reputation for being strong academically. The freshman year went well. Since his sophomore year thing have been changed drastically: many kids transferred to Cardozo from closed low-performing schools in Jamaica, which cause so many problems to this fine school and motivated students. Cardozo used to be one of the finest high schools in NYC housing so many high-achieving minority students who eventually land themselves in top colleges and universities. Is this the reason that Bloomburg decided to cut its budget for advanced courses, put unmotivated students into classrooms so the school's overall performance got downgraded? Achievements should not be punished, and the students aiming high deserve support rather than discouragement!"

"Others should know that this school offers a variety of classes, organizations and clubs to participate in. I like the fact that it has many clubs, organizations, sports teams that I can join. My school could improve by being a little less crowded."

"My overall impression about Cardozo HS: for both students and parents, it's a tough job navigating through the system to get support. It's much easier to become lost given the complexity the student body in addition to the 24:1 student-teacher ratio. A lot of opportunities out there, but you need to work very diligently to find out, to capture it. You are pretty much on your own, so stay strong, focused, and try your best to thrive. College app process is no difference, you figure it out yourself, don't even bother the college office because people there are always busy. I'm not saying they are unsupportive, in fact, with the huge help from parent volunteers, all required forms are filled and sent out on time, but in terms of information and meaningful advice, don't rely on anyone but yourself."
