"I feel that even though the school tries its best to protect students in and out of school, I still feel that my child is not protected due to the fact that students are not allowed to bring cellphones and I know alot of highschools that allow students to bring their cellphones."

"Seeing how I am a student currently at Louis D. Brandeis High School , I will have to say that this schools ratings should not be as high as people think . The events that take place withen the school are horrible and nothing has changed to stop them . Scanners in the school better the safety of children but limit them to a extent . Incase of emergency, students arent allowed cellphones withen the schools which is unfair for them . In conclusion this school needs improvement !"

"Any school that needs a scanner to check the students as they enter the school is not a great school. Yes it ensure that their is security but simply having one implies the dangerousness of the school environment. In addition, the school is lacking in extra curricular activities, and in the quality of education given. Most students are not guided in preparing and applying for college which is crucial for all students to suceed."

"I was a former student at Brandeis and Luckly I was in AP classes which are the only classes you learn a little bit all the other classes are wast of time. Some teachers try but unfortunally students there are very uncooperative."

"My daughter is a hard worker by nature and at this school she has been able to continue her excellent academic career. The regents and AP classes are great. There's a good sports program and my daughter is on the volleyball team. The school needs more parent involvement (you can never have too much parent involvement). This 2005-2006 graduating class is the best Braneis has had in a while I hope it continues. I also hope that the school will recognize this and give these hard working kids a fabulous send off, they deserve it."
