"I am a former student and graduate from NCH. I would ,for the record, like to say that much of what I have heard is nothing new. I have wonderful memories of high school there and I have not great memories. Looking back the common "thread" to good or bad memories was usually my attitude or doing more so than what someone else was doing. In order to move forward people need to look forward and NOT back. Look back only to keep from repeating past mistakes not to brood over them. The school's leadership should be held accountable for their responsibilities as should the parents AND students. There will always be things to fix and troubles to deal with. The question is, will everyone do THEIR part to solve the problems or simply keep blame shifting? Only time will truly tell. My hope is that as a community everyone will, it will be well worth it."

"Im a student at NCH and it's true that the teachers have little control over the students but the only reason for that is because the kids can't be controled. The teachers cant do any more then what they already do. The biggest issuse is't the school or the teachers it's the students who go to school for only one reason, to socialize and not all of us are like that, reming you. Also if your student is be ignored or not being payed attention to enough maybe it's not because of their gender or the color of their skin maybe it's because the teacher has other issuses to look to like the meny fights and disruptive students. Also I have never had a teacher or heard of a one at NCH who will not help a kid. Did they try after school or you try talking to your own child?"

"I have two children that attend NCH high school and they both want to leave because of the racial tension and the way they are treated by the teachers. I personally feel that NCH high school teachers needs to be more concerned with the education of the kids and not their own personal agendas. My daughter is 16 and has been treated terribly by the students and the teachers because she is white. When a student doesnt understand something and the teacher tells her he doesnt have time for her that shows me that the teacher doesnt care. When I went to school it was the teachers responsibility to help the students learn and keep the parents informed when there was problem with a student. NCH does not do this. I for one wish I could afford to move to a better school district."

"I recently just graduated from North College Hill. It is true the teaching of majority of the teachers lacked but there were several that not only taught us the curriculm but also taught us how to be better people. Yes the hallways are rowdy and yes there will be students who dislike the school but thats everywhere not just NCH just like there are teachers who excel in teaching and teachers who shouldn't be teaching. It's all a part of life. DEAL WITH IT '08'"

"I am a parent of 2 kids who went to NCH High School and a 3rd that is there now one graduated the class of 2008 the other one did not and the 3rd is only in 8th grade but all 3 of my kids hate(d) this district and they have all grown up here in the neighborhood but from one child to the other nothing has changed the way teacher and staff talk to the kids and parents, no respect what so ever. But the staff wants respect from the kids most of the kids give what they get and the teachers act like they don't understand why the kids act like they do, well I understand because I see how the way the staff acts and the way the students act. Not all of the teachers act like this but 90 percent of them do. 1of 2 postings"
