"The academic programs are definitely very strong, particularly the English program. I never realized that I was light years ahead of other college-aged students in terms of grammar, research, and writing skills until I took a freshman writing class in college. When I was there, most of the teachers were nearing retirement age, but brought much experience to the classroom and still seemed very interested in teaching young impressionable minds. The sports programs overwhelm nearly all other extracurriculars -- far too much money has been spent on the football program over the years, culminating in the massive useless stadium. I participated in theatre and we often were lacking in funds. The band program is well-regarded, however. Safety has apparently become an issue in the last few years. There have been a lot of fights and threats in the last few years, but administration seems to keep things under control."

"Thomas Jefferson gets you prepared for college better than anyother school. Their research program teaches students how to use notecards and bibcards at a very young age, but you use the same techniques you use in college. The resources that TJ provides with the AP program is wonderful. They get you ready for the next step even if your not. -Ryan 'Cisco' Franciscus"
