"I was very excited because I saw this school had five star rate when coming to this school. Overall it was disappointing. The teachers don't even teach, but when they have to they pretend. The school has so many young teachers who are inexperienced or teacher who attended there previously as a kid. Most of the kids cheat in each class an I'm pretty sure the teachers aren't blind. If you ask me the biggest problem is that they don't teach but the tests are very difficult. On the other hand there are good teacher there, I've been moved a couple time. College prep is way more difficult than advanced, why is that you ask me? It's because no one is strict on teachers. Also another things is you become very independent I've seen people who need help but the teachers become deaf, the counselors are useless and to start with they don't help you get involve. Sports they only care about who knows the plays from the previous year, jv only plays 5 minutes and it's very horrible to watch. Clubs are set through the years of course freshman are scared and unaware so if you want your child to start good and gets good grades 9-12 grade I recommend you don't do the mistake of bringing him here."

"I am a parent but I also am a former student. When I went to Overbrook there were a lot more problems at school such as fights and drugs. I am a believer that if you are raised well you will do well. I did well at Overbrook. I participated in many activities while going there and made life long friends. My daughter is now going to Overbrook and she is graduating this year in top 10 percent of her class. Overbrook is offering her AP classes and she has some of the most awesome teachers. I am happy with what Overbrook has given to the both of us."

"I graduated from overbrook a few years ago. It wasn't a bad school, actually it was a decent school. There are some bad teachers, some average teachers and some great teachers just like any other school. It isn't just the teachers that make the school bad, it's also how the students approach their classes. Coming from a student that went there, a lot of kids would show up to class late and would argue with their teachers and for some reason the students parents will take their child's side. That's why when I read some parents reviews, I would love to see who their child is because them parents might be getting bad stories. I loved my four years at the Overabrook, I've learned a lot."

"I think Overbrook gets a bad rep by a lot of people, but I don't think it's that bad here. Sure, I've had teachers who seemed like they could care less about how their students perform, but at the same time I've had a lot of teachers who were very nice and friendly that really inspired me to do better. The administration is pretty strict on a lot of things but they've done a lot to make the school a better place and it's nice to know that they actually care. In my experience guidance has been very helpful and the counselors are very nice. The student body is also very diverse and full of talented and bright kids. The curriculum could use a little improvement as well as the general atmosphere, but overall it's not a terrible school."

"If you're considering a move to Pine Hill, West Berlin, or Clementon, think again. Ignore the previous post; the poster was obviously a disillusioned band-parent who knows nothing of the school other than the performing arts program. While Overbrook boasts an impressive arts program, talent and funding are dwindling. From an academic perspective, this school will not prepare your children for a four-year university. The majority of students attend community or local colleges. Teaching is not rigorous. APs are lacking. Administration is awful, removed, and not making the necessary changes to the curriculum. Teachers, overall, are not very interactive or demanding. The guidance department lacks knowledge of elite universities and the classrooms are run by unmotivated, misbehaving students. The demographics of the school mean that many students come from low-income households and lack a lot of parental involvement. Crime and safety are a factor. It is very below average in every aspect. Technology is outdated, save some newly added SmartBoards. Do NOT send your children here if you want them to have a chance at a decent livelihood after graduation."
