"The only good thing about this school are the dedicated teachers. Bullying needs to be dealt with more seariously. My child's average class size last year was 32. The school is in great need of major repairs as all the CASD schools are. Some of the clubs need revamped. The most my child did in art club was paint the cafeteria windows for the seasons/holidays. The rest of the time he just got to "free draw". I know of other art clubs at other districts actually make the club fun by working on various projects.. In Animal Club, they mostly just "talked" about animals. What happened to visiting animal shelters? There are so many more issues but there just isn't enough time or space. I will end my review stating that I was very grateful for the awesome teachers my child had. They were dedicated and engaged in my child's success."

"The student to teacher ratio is NOT 13 to 1. The average they use is so low because there are special education students who need VERY small class sizes and multiple teachers and aides. If your child is in a regular classroom, the number of students will be in the high twenties or low thirties."

"I have had two children go through South, and both had a good experience. Teachers were mostly above-average, but, as with any public school, some were not so great. Guidance department was great, considering how overwhelmed they are. Not an overwhelming amount of homework and plenty of clubs and other activities. The district needs to lobby for more money to bring back languages, which, sadly, had to be cut recently."

"South is a great school with great teachers...some teachers are young who connect with our me and my friends. I have been on the honor roll since 6th grade. I am now in 8th. South has a lot of sports just brought back. They also have a lot of clubs. Keep up the good work South Brandywine!!!"

"I feel South Brandywine Middle School was a great learning experience. While my two oldest sons went to North Brandywine, my two younger children went to South. South has more discipline and is steering the kids in the right direction. Keep it up South."
