"My children started here 5 years ago. Mr. Beaver, the principal, is wonderful and very involved, he is very approachable to both the parents and the students. The teachers here really care, I have not heard any negative comments. Parents are very involved and volunteer throughout the year. The students are genuinely nice and the school has many programs to keep the students involved with the community. Students are not only taught book smarts but also how to be a good citizen. We love it here!"

"We moved to this area from out of state and we were astounded at the warm welcome we received. It is very well organized for incoming students. My child was paired with another child and given an orientation and a folder full of useful information. As new residents, the school gave us a helpful directory with local information and phone numbers. We have moved several times and my child told me this was the best place, as the students were super to him and the teachers were nice. The curriculum so far has been great."

"I have had 2 children attend here. Both children have raved about how great their teachers are and how nice the other students are. The school does a great job with building character in the students and there are many opportunities for the students to get involved and volunteer their time and effort into the community. Parents are welcomed to get involved. It would be nice if the elementary school would have the same system as the middle school for checking your child's assignments, however the teachers are quick to respond if you have questions. Each child has an agenda and is taught to write down the days lessons."

"In my opinion this school needs to focus more on children that are not in the 'middle.' In my opinion, the Kindergarten should be a full day not a half day. In my opinion, the pre-first program should be abolished and more teachers should be hired for 1st grade."

"We had the opposite experience with Unionville Elementary. We experienced academics taught in a traditional fashion, whereas the students are passive participants. The curriculum did not seem to bridge the classroom with the real world. There was little if any integration of skills learned from specialty areas applied to the classroom. In addition, technology was under utilized by both students and teachers. After our experience, we look at school rankings much differently, we look at the socio-economic make-up of a District to better gage the quality of the curriculum and the teachers. When a District has a more diverse socio-economic make-up and they have earned high marks, we feel that suggests that the teachers are doing an outstanding job to reach all children."
