"It came to my attention this morning, while signing off on my son's work, that suddenly in the 6th grade Purple Pod spelling is no longer an issue. What's up with that? Fancy grids, blocks & chunks, scribble all over the page. But spelling is not corrected????"

"We moved from Delaware 2 years ago. Our daughter went to a private school so we thought she would breeze through the transition to a new school, especially a public school despite the great test scores and reputation. We were shocked, her very nice private school that we were paying a fortune for didn't compare to the education in the Avon Grove school district. The first year was pretty tough, getting her caught up. The teachers have been wonderful, the schools/campus are great. Not to mention how family oriented the area is in general. We couldn't have picked a better area to move to."

"My student was originally placed in a math class below ability. It was a struggle to upgrade to a higer math class. My student is not overall challenged by the curriculum at AGIS. Moreover, both the Guidance office and administration seem to have their hands full handling bullying, rumors and intimidation issues, which seem to be widespread. They also had difficulty making sure my student got to the assigned lunch period, and have let them go hungry without lunch. I would like to see more homework and some community service projects."

"My daughter started AGCS last year and is now going into first grade. I cannot tell you enough how well she is doing!! She is reading at a 2nd grade level or above. She loves the school, I love the teachers and believe she is getting the best education in the world. I am so grateful for this school and cannot stress enough how wonderful it is!"
