"I just stumbled upon this site and was disappointed, but not surprised by some of the comments that were made at the time they were made. I noticed that none of the reviews are very current and am interested in seeing if our image has improved. I graduated from Concord, my children graduated from Concord, and I have been teaching in Concord for over 25 years. I am very proud to be employed by and be a part of the Concord Community Schools and the community. We have had struggles during some of the years I have been here, but I am strongly encouraged by the improvements made recently and am looking forward to more achievements and success in the years ahead. Please share your concerns and praises for our system, we are hear to listen and to learn! Thanks!"

"This was once a fantasic school with wonderful students, caring teachers and administrators with fore sight to keep the school in high attendance demand & an above the state average on MEAP Scores. Having 2 sons that graduated from Concord in 2002 and 2007, we have seen a tremdous decline in overall values and goals set forth by the current administration & teachers. We maintained an active involvement in our childrens school activities until our youngest graduated in 2007. From 2002 through 2007, the school went through several caring adminstrators & excellant teachers that were either recuited to other schools outside of the district or state or just plain quit due to the current administrator, board & principal. If you are lucky enough to be in a position of choosing another school for your children, I highly recommend it and your children will thank you later."

"In many ways, Concord schools have much potential. However, this potential is rarely realized except by those students who take it upon themselves to go above and beyond the expectations presented to them. There are some truly steller teachers, and there are some that are not. The principals, as a rule, are quite good. The current superintendent leaves much to be desired. As does the school board, for that matter. All in all, I feel that a child _can_ have a good education here if they choose to work and can get past the hurdles that are presented."

"I am a high school student at Concord, I love all of the people here. Our school is one of the best schools in our Big 8. We have the best teaching staff because they know and care about the students. Our academic program is one of the best becouse they let us choose our own class."

"Concord has a poor rating when it comes to certain sports and putting girls on them.Like if your not skinny, you won't be able to do cheerleading. It took my mom 6 almost 7 years before my mom got me into special ed.Because Concord doesnt care about they're students."
