"I stayed in Moon Twp., in spite of the high taxes, because the school is basically a good one. On the plus side, colleges seem to accept these students readily. The teaching staff is extremely supportive. The sports programs are top-notch. There is a lot of new technology available to the students. However, there are some issues. The old principal did not do anything to help students who didn't "fit in the box." The new principal has promised more than he has delivered so far. I have tried to be an involved parent, but I have not gotten a lot of help from the administration. I have heard the same thing from other parents whose kids aren't the "cookie cutter" students. The curriculum does need to be updated; the most recent updates have been piecemeal. All in all, it is a decent school, but there are some things that need to be improved."

"... all of my science teachers have been great teachers, and all but one of my history teachers have been really great teachers! One of my least favorite parts of the school, is the lunch food. It is so gross. Chunky mashed potatoes, yellow pepperoni inside the pepperoni rolls (even the nurses told me not to eat them) COLD chicken, pink burgers (I don't even know if it's even real MEAT!) They also have this really gross pizza that has like a whole wheat crust. You can't really tell it's that kind of pizza until AFTER you get it, which is unfortunate for me, because I'm allergic to wheat and shouldn't eat that much at a time. I don't even think the lunch ladies approve of the food, but, I do like the lunch ladies... They, for the most part, are very nice!"

"I would readily recommend Moon Township schools to anyone. My children have done well there, academically, athletically and socially. The principal of the ms and hs was great; he readily addressed any issues I had and made it a point to touch base with my kids regularly. In return the students there loved him and respected him. As for the curiculum, my children have learned a great deal, and the honors classes have been challenging for them. All of my kids teachers have always made every effort to stay in touch and let us know how our kids were doing, either by email, a phone call or a note home. But as with anywhere (1) parents must be involved in their kids lives (2) you will have good and bad no matter where u are. Great schools."

"I'll add to these other reviews. Some of them make this school sound excellent and some make it sound horrible. It's really somewhere in between, closer to good than bad. 1. Scheduling for freshman is pretty bad. We only get 2 electives because of health and gym, but we learn to deal with it. 2. The Integrated Math system is great. I personally like it better than the normal math systems. It gets you a variety of maths in three levels building off one another. One bad thing is that colleges get confused by it, so now we are eliminating it :( 3. Having no windows is bad. We never know what it's like outside and the classrooms are like dungeons. 4. The school is cold. It's not that big of a deal, but I'm just saying... 5. Although they keep delaying the new school, it's going to be really good."
